The Workforce Development Institute (WDI) is a statewide non-profit dedicated to creating greater opportunities for all New Yorkers to thrive in the workforce and earn family-sustaining wages. They collaborate with partners across the labor movement, employers, and education and training organizations to help reshape how industries approach hiring, training, and retaining a diverse, inclusive, and productive workforce.
Each year, WDI evaluates numerous workforce opportunities with the potential to create a meaningful impact. New York’s strong commitment to clean energy goals, coupled with public and private investments to achieve them, has established a dynamic hub for exploring energy innovations.
Our work relies on partnerships. Partnerships are at their best when everyone offers their best skills, seeks understanding of each other’s vision, and works together to achieve a shared goal. We are thrilled to have found a great partnership with The Pensery that produced an Annual Report that was a shared win.
