Ben Zurcher
Video and Animation Director
“If you don’t feel it, you won’t remember it.” — Bob Dickman
Whether he’s polishing pixels in the latest tech giant’s animated explainer, shooting a docu-style promo in the heart of the Amazon, or pitching internet-safety PSAs featuring teen-eating mega monsters (a concept that was oh-so close to actually getting greenlit), Ben is passionate about bringing brands’ stories to life through video with clarity, heart, artistry, and a healthy dose of personality.
While he’s always had a hard time limiting his enthusiasm for visual storytelling to any one medium, much less any one stage of the production process, he was lucky enough to cut his teeth at an ad agency that saw his potential in motion design, and has since had the chance to hone that craft with not just the likes of Google, Mastercard, KPMG, and Marriott, but also a host of nonprofits, educators, and startups. His love for live production has also continued to thrive thanks to on-location shoots in Ghana, Kenya, Fiji, Indonesia, India, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, England, and in his fair share of the US to boot (his passport has a few extra stamps from personal travel too, but he doesn’t want to be “that guy,” so…).
When not at his desk, Ben spends his days literally running around Salt Lake City, further indulging his eclectic interests in writing, design, film, television, music, religion, sports, space, finance, business, tech, and linguistics. He speaks Spanish thanks to a two-year service mission in Mexico, and is constantly embarrassing himself attempting to speak the half dozen other languages currently cluttering his Duolingo queue (enchanté!).
